What "raw" means when GBPUSD still averages 0.3

Raw accounts promise interbank-like spreads. Then you look at GBPUSD and see an average of 0.3–0.5 pips, not the 0.0 in the marketing.

What "raw" usually means:
- The broker passes through the spread it receives from its liquidity providers without adding a markup.
- Commission is charged separately.
- Spreads still reflect actual market conditions.

GBPUSD has a wider underlying spread than EURUSD even in the interbank market, because liquidity is lower. So 0.3 on cable can be genuinely "raw".

The "from 0.0" in marketing usually refers to the minimum observed spread on EURUSD during peak liquidity. It's real, but brief.

Useful questions:
- What's the median spread during your trading hours?
- How does it compare to another raw broker?
- What's the commission?

Has anyone compared raw spreads on GBPUSD across brokers recently?
