Special rules for Monday opens after weekend gaps

A weekend gap is the difference between Friday's close and Sunday's open. Gaps occur when news happens over the weekend, and they can range from a few pips to a hundred or more.
Common behaviour after gaps:
- Small gaps (under 20 pips on majors) often fill during the Asia session.
- Large gaps driven by significant news may not fill for days.
- Gaps against the prevailing trend fill more often than gaps with it.
Monday rules worth having:
1. Check gap size and cause before London opens.
2. If the gap is small and unfilled by 07:00 UK, watch for a fill attempt in the first hour.
3. If the gap is large and news-driven, don't fade it. Trade in the direction of the gap on pullbacks.
4. Reduce position size by 25–50% on Mondays with large gaps.
5. Don't place pending orders over the weekend near Friday's close; gaps can trigger them at poor prices.
Gaps are also a reminder of why scalpers stay flat over weekends.
Do you have specific gap rules, or do you treat Monday like any other day?
