Friday afternoon wind-down: setting a last entry time

Friday afternoons in London feel different. Traders are thinking about the weekend, desks thin out after lunch, and the market can drift or produce random spikes.
Many scalpers find that their Friday afternoon trades have noticeably worse results than their midweek trades. If you suspect the same, check your data:
1. Filter your trade log for Friday trades after 13:00 UK.
2. Compare win rate, average R and slippage against Tuesday to Thursday trades in the same hours.
If the Friday numbers are clearly worse, a last entry time is an easy improvement. Common choices are 12:00, 14:00 or 16:00 UK depending on style.
Some adjustments for Friday trading if you continue:
- Smaller size.
- Shorter targets.
- Hard stop at the daily loss limit, with no "one more trade".
- Exit everything before the US session gets thin.
A last entry time removes the decision. When it's reached, the week is done.
