IC Markets economic events filter inside platform vs external

Platform economic calendars are convenient and incomplete.
I use the in-platform filter as a secondary alert only. My primary sheet is my own night-before list with London times and blackout marks. Platform calendars sometimes miss what I care about or show impact ratings that do not match my pair map. External calendar plus my notes remains the source of truth; the platform filter is a seatbelt, not the steering wheel.
Concrete problems I have hit: an MT5 calendar showing a release one hour off after the clocks changed, a central bank speaker missing entirely, and a low-impact flag on a UK data point that moved cable 30 pips. None of that is a reason to stop using the built-in calendar. It is a reason not to rely on it alone.
My setup: the external calendar filtered to USD, EUR and GBP high and medium impact, copied by hand into a short list on Sunday night and checked again each evening. The platform alert pings five minutes before each event as a backup.
If the two disagree, I flatten toward the stricter reading. Convenience never wins that argument during London.
