Monday character on GBPUSD: stats from my journal

I pulled Monday GBPUSD trades out of my journal for the last six months to see if Monday really is different. Short answer: yes, at least for me.
Sample: 23 Mondays, 51 GBPUSD trades during London. Compared with 140 cable trades on Tuesday to Thursday over the same period.
What stood out:
- Win rate on Monday was around 41 percent, against about 52 percent midweek.
- Average loss was a bit larger on Mondays, mostly because of two slipped stops in the first hour.
- False breaks of the Asia range were common. In 14 of the 23 Mondays, the first break of the Asia high or low reversed within 30 minutes.
- The best Monday trades came after 09:30, once the weekend's news had been priced in.
Net result: Monday cable was slightly negative after costs, while midweek was clearly positive.
What I changed: on Mondays, no GBPUSD before 09:30, smaller size, and I fade first breaks of the Asia range only with clear rejection, instead of trading the breakout.
Caveats: 51 trades is a small sample, and six months might just be a phase. I will check again at the end of the year. But it was enough to stop treating Monday like any other day.
