Regulated entity choice for EU scalpers: practical notes

Practical, not legal advice: I care which entity holds the account, which regulator is named on the agreement, and how withdrawals worked on a small test.
EU scalpers I talk to often chase the brand and skip the entity page. I do the opposite. I read the client agreement section on order execution and complaints, do a tiny withdrawal, and only then size up. Spreads matter; getting money out matters more when you scalp daily.
If entity options differ under one brand, I pick the one that matches my residency situation and that I actually tested. Forum cheerleading is not due diligence. Prop firms are a separate contract again - do not blur broker entity questions with challenge vendor questions. I revisit entity choice if I move country or if the brand shuffles subsidiaries. Static assumptions go stale.
One more thing I check now: whether the entity offers the same account type and commission structure as the brand's marketing page suggests. More than once the raw account with the headline pricing was only available under an offshore entity, and the EU one had a different cost schedule. Read the fee page for your entity, not the global one.
