Can you scalp gold on prop the same way as on raw IC?

Short answer from my own books: not the same way.
On raw IC, gold M1 forgives a slightly wider stop and a second attempt if the first was a spread spike. On prop, the daily loss limit and any news rules make those forgiveness habits expensive. Same level, same idea, but I cut size, refuse the second attempt, and skip gold entirely inside any raised USD Tier-1 window even if the firm text is ambiguous - ambiguity is not permission.
Also execution feel differs when the prop path is not the same liquidity venue as your raw account. I treat fills as a separate dataset: if gold slippage on the challenge account is consistently worse for two weeks, gold comes off the prop roster and stays on personal only.
Same chart. Different contract. Trade the contract.
If gold stays on the prop roster, I demand two weeks of clean process tags before increasing size. Clean means no news-window guesses and no second-attempt habit from the raw account. Gold is optional on prop for me. EURUSD is not. Optional instruments lose the argument first when limits tighten.
