The 14-Day Patience Challenge
Patience improves with deliberate practice. This 14-day challenge gives you daily exercises to build it.
Days 1 to 3: Observe.
Watch your chosen session without trading. Write down what you see: sweeps, shifts, and where setups would have formed.
Days 4 to 6: Alert-only.
Mark levels and set alerts. Don't look at the chart until an alert fires. Note how many alerts led to valid setups.
Days 7 to 9: One-trade rule.
Take at most one trade per day, and only if it's an A+ setup. If none appears, take none.
Days 10 to 12: Delay.
When a setup appears, wait 60 seconds and re-read your checklist before entering. Record whether you still would have entered.
Days 13 to 14: Reflect.
Review your notes. Count how many impulses you resisted, and how many low-quality trades you avoided.
Daily habit:
At the end of each day, write one sentence: "Today I practiced patience by ___."
Optional:
Add five minutes of slow breathing before the session.
Safety:
Use demo or minimal risk during the challenge.
What you may notice:
- Fewer impulsive trades
- Calmer emotional states
- Better understanding of how often good setups appear
Patience feels uncomfortable at first because action feels productive. This challenge teaches you that waiting can be the productive part.
Try it, and compare your results with the two weeks before.
