Position inventory rules into ECB rate decision

Into ECB I care less about the prediction and more about inventory.

If I am long or short EURUSD into the decision because a scalp "almost worked," I am not a scalper — I am a hostage. Position inventory rules exist so that does not happen by accident at 13:14 London while I am still negotiating with a chart.

Inventory rules before the window
  • Net risk to flat by a fixed pre-time, not "when it feels done"
  • No new risk in the last minutes of the pre-window
  • Correlated EUR crosses count toward the same inventory budget
The decision itself is not my product. Arriving flat with a clear head is.

Do you force flat on inventory alone, or do you allow tiny hedges that still leave you emotionally tied to the print?

Inventory includes pending orders. A working stop that can trigger into the decision is still inventory wearing a different hat. Cancelling those is part of the same rule, not an optional tidy-up.

I would rather flatten early and miss a quiet grind than negotiate inventory while the calendar is already red.
