EURUSD average spread at 07:00 London time from my log

EURUSD at 07:00 London is my baseline cost check, not a blog claim.

I log the average spread in a narrow window around cash open for enough mornings to care. Some weeks the open is calm and the number looks generous; other weeks the first half hour is a tax. The point of the log is to stop me treating a lucky Tuesday as policy.

Rules tied to that number
1. If live spread sits above my open filter, no first-drive chase — wait for snap-back or stand aside.
2. Targets under a few ticks get reviewed against that average; if the edge does not clear cost, the setup is entertainment.
3. Broker comparisons use the same clock, not mixed session averages.

I am less interested in who advertises 0.0 than in what my account saw at 07:00 for a month.

What does your EURUSD open-spread sample look like, and do you tighten size when the open average drifts?

I store the monthly open average next to the prior three months so drift is visible. A single calm week never rewrites the filter. If the open average rises and stays up, pair priority and first-drive aggression both get reviewed on Sunday, not mid-trade on a noisy Monday.
