UK data into London open: stand-aside window I actually use on GBPUSD

UK prints into the London open are where GBPUSD spreads and spikes educate you for free — then charge you if you ignore the lesson.
My stand-aside window: flat from a few minutes before the release until after the first impulse completes and spreads behave. I do not shrink that window emotionally because the forecast looked easy or the previous UK print was dull. After the window, I require a mapped setup — ORB retest, sweep-reclaim, or failed drive — not a leftover adrenaline click.
If UK data and a US print stack the same morning, GBPUSD is often a spectator sport for me. I would rather trade EURUSD on a cleaner story than force cable through a dual-calendar mess.
Pending orders through the release are not part of my plan. Hard flat is simpler to audit.
