Failed breakout fade on GBPUSD: what must be true before I click

Failed breakout fades on GBPUSD need a checklist or they are just opinions with leverage.

Before I click, all of these must be true: a clear level was broken; failure back inside prints with a decisive close; no high-impact UK print sits in the hold window; and there is room to a sensible target inside the prior range. Bonus: the break looked more like a stop run than slow acceptance beyond the level.

Missing one item means no trade. I used to negotiate with myself; the checklist ended the debate. Entry preference is reclaim close or a tight retest of the broken level from inside — I do not short/long the first tick of failure in a vacuum.

Cable punishes vague FBO fades because the false breaks are frequent and the real breaks are violent.
  • What is on your FBO fade checklist for GBP?
  • Enter on reclaim close or wait for retest from inside?
Strict beats clever.
