London–NY overlap continuation: only if London left an unfinished impulse

Overlap continuation without context is just hope with more volume.
I only run continuation into London–NY when London left an unfinished impulse: clear drive, shallow pullback held, and a nearby objective — liquidity pool or obvious level — not yet tagged. If London already spent the daily range and flattened into lunch, I do not suddenly become a hero at the New York open clock.
Rule: map the unfinished business before New York participation rises. No map, no continuation scalp. I also check whether the impulse was dollar-led or pair-specific; that changes how I trust EURUSD versus a cross.
Overtrading the overlap was one of my more expensive habits. The unfinished-impulse filter is what cut it without requiring me to abandon the window entirely.

- What counts as "unfinished" on your desk?
- Do you ever fade the overlap instead when London is spent?
