Asia range width filter before I allow any London scalp

This is the gate in front of almost everything I do at London.
Before the open I measure Asia high–low on my focus pairs. Too narrow: expect fake breaks and boredom clicks — I cut trade count hard. Mid: normal playbooks allowed. Too wide already: London often digests; I favour pullbacks and reclaims over fresh ORB chasing, or I simply reduce risk.
The filter is pair-specific. What is wide on EURUSD is not wide on GBPUSD or USDJPY. I keep a simple lookback so I am not inventing percentiles with coffee and optimism. The point is not precision theatre; it is stopping the same mistake every time Asia left a clue.
Width also changes which playbook card sits on top of the desk for that morning.
