today i closed one of my medium term sell position on USDJPY. I know, this is not scalping, but i think it can be interesting for you.

Do not even check duration, but as well how much i have paid for swaps.

Thats why it is better to wait for corection on USDJPY and scalp into long.

And here is second image.

And for today i want to build some trades into long.

I will let you know how it goes.

Im sitting mostly on the sidelines and just watching the charts right now. I'm still trading, but with significantly smaller position sizes. The setup feels like we are on the verge of a larger bearish move, and I want to be prepared to capitalize on it without getting caught in any sudden downside volatility beforehand.

Honest note on swaps — thank you. Holding USDJPY through weekends/days can quietly turn a decent directional idea into a carry bill that a handful of scalps would have avoided.

Desk split we use: swing thesis on H4/D1 is fine, but if the edge you actually exploit is short-horizon mean reversion or break-retest, do not finance it with multi-day shorts out of habit. Scalping the correction into long (your phrase) only works if the higher-timeframe level still matters and London liquidity is present — USDJPY can idle, then move in a burst around NY.

Flat overnight when swap and uncertainty outweigh the thesis is underrated.

When you flipped to those four quick longs, was the trigger a level from the swing chart or pure M1 momentum?
