Prop news blackouts vs London open — how do you not sit out half the week?

London open is where I make money. Prop firms love news rules that turn the open into a minefield.
Typical pain:
- Red-folder USD print at 13:30 UK → overlap restricted
- UK prints in the morning → your best EUR/GBP window restricted
- "No trading X minutes before/after" interpreted differently by every firm's FAQ (and by their support on a bad day)
What I've been doing on challenges/funded:
1. Map the week's restricted windows **Sunday night** against my London playbook.
2. If open is blocked, I don't invent a mid-morning strategy I don't have — I skip or trade a tiny alternate window I already tested.
3. Prefer firms whose news policy is specific (symbols + minutes) over vibes-based "high impact" lists that change by mood.
Not looking for "just break the rules, they won't notice." Looking for process that survives audit.
How do you reconcile a London-open scalping style with strict news blackouts?
Which firms have the clearest written news rules you've actually traded under?
Do you pause the whole day around news, or only the restricted minutes and related pairs?
