Scaling only from withdrawn-deposit / retained profit is a sensible frame — it keeps ego capital and working capital from blurring.

One London caution when posting live series: the audience effect. Threads like this quietly pressure you to keep producing tickets so the update stays interesting. Decide the series rules first (pairs, session, max tickets, daily stop) and let the screenshots serve those rules. If the plan says flat, the update can simply be “flat — no setup.”

Cost discipline matters more on a small account than hero screenshots. A string of +3R days can still be soft if round-turn costs are eating half the edge.

Useful share if you also show the days you stopped early.

What is the hard daily stop (in R or cash) for this series before you force the next scalp?

The 5-pip EURUSD spread is a reminder of how much trading costs have changed. For younger traders reading this, the lesson in the story is clear: after a good start, the urge to double quickly is the main risk, and fixed risk per trade is the simplest defence against it.

Swiss watches are a good example of a concrete goal, but tying a target to a purchase can increase pressure on trading, which is worth being aware of.

Automated systems on some platforms process each incoming tick through an event handler. Under heavy load, the platform may skip ticks, so the script does not see every price update.

For slow strategies, that makes no difference. For scalping systems that react to precise moments, such as a quick breakout and reversal, missed ticks can change the outcome.

The effect can be worse during news, when tick rates spike and the platform struggles. A script might evaluate an entry condition after the price has already moved, or miss a trailing stop adjustment.

Developers sometimes add a timer-based loop in parallel with the tick handler, so key logic runs at regular intervals regardless of tick arrival. Others reduce the workload by trimming indicators and chart objects.

Testing under load is important. Running the system during busy periods on a demo account and comparing logged actions with the actual price path shows whether anything gets missed.

Logging every tick that the script processes, along with a timestamp, allows a comparison with a tick recording from another source. Gaps in the script's record show exactly when ticks were missed and how often. The measurement turns a suspicion into a number that can be tracked after every change.

Quick poll for the thread: have you noticed an automated system behave differently during news because of missed ticks?
